How to Make Money When You Don't Have a Job

Is your job search taking longer than expected? Are you looking for an additional source of income? Join me at Johnston Community College where you’ll explore various methods and strategies for making money. Learn how to create a layered income, be your own boss, and begin earning money quickly without being “hired”.

We’ll cover legitimate, legal and even fun ways to build an income to help you through tough times, create a long-term side hustle, or even build a full-time business. Some methods require zero or little cash to get started. Time requirements range from an hour or two per week to 20 hours or more. There’s something for everyone no matter what your background, experience, capital, or time availability.

This class is NOT for get-rich-quick schemes or multi-level marketing. It’s not a deep dive into any one method or strategy although you will walk away armed with resources where you can learn more once you have chosen the method that works best for you.

We’ll cover many things in this class, including:

  • How to create a multiple income stream strategy
  • Online selling with eBay, Amazon, and popular mobile selling apps
  • Sourcing products to sell
  • Ways to use your unique skills and expertise to generate income
  • Online work-at-home flexible and temporary opportunities
  • Offline ways to earn money in your local region
  • Resources and tools to get more training
